Western North Carolina Pottery with Purpose and Personality
PDubs Pottery is tucked away in the picturesque mountains of Western North Carolina. The location provides the perfect setting for making pottery that's both easy on the eye and useful (most of the time - sometimes their just for fun). The examples on this website are available to purchase. They're also meant to provide ideas for your custom-thrown pieces. I love making new stuff. Just ask.
Pottery For Friends of Western North Carolina
Since moving to North Carolina, the people we've met have become friends. That's the nature of the mountains. I started making pottery for friends, and soon they were telling friends. As a result, I'm blessed with the opportunity to make customer pottery for friends of Western NC. If you're here, or visiting, you're a friend. I'll be happy to make something for you!
Pottery with a Purpose
Just about everything I make is useful. Sometimes it's just for fun, but I want the pieces I make to be part of your everyday life. That's why I invented the Splate (Soup bowl/Plate Combined into one piece) and the Schmug (Soup mug). And the swinging flower people (my father-in-law makes the stands for these). You tell me what you wish you had at your house. I'll be proud to make it for you.

Pottery with Purpose and Personality
More Than A Pretty Face
I believe pottery should be beautiful, but also be used in your every day life. That's why I create my pieces to be both pleasing to the eye and functional. From soup-bowl/plates (Splates) and soup-mugs (Schmugs), to vases, tableware, coffee mugs, or one-of-a-kind treasures, your pottery with purpose and personality is ready for you.
Your Story, Your Pottery
Looking for a unique gift? Share a story, a personality, a favorite color, or the givee's (I made up that word) passion, and I'll channel that aspect into the perfect piece. Every curve, every color will be a reflection of what makes that person (or yourself!) special.
Embrace the Unexpected
Even when I craft a set, no two pieces are identical. Just like us, each piece has its own quirks and charms. Whether you choose a ready-made treasure or commission a custom creation, you're guaranteed a piece that's as unique as you are.
Explore and Discover
So take a peek around. See something you love but it's sold out? No problem, I'll create one just for you. And don't forget to check out my just-for-fun creations – you might find a quirky conversation starter or a playful reminder to always seek out joy.
